PRA was incorporated as a Company limited by guarantee in 1977.

PRA changed it's name to "Psychiatric Rehabilitation Australia" in 2008.

PRA is governed by an elected Board representing interested and qualified people in the community with a varied range of skills and experience. The organisation's management reports to the Board on PRA's performance in implementing the Board's policies, and advises the Board on the things that affect the
organisation, its staff and the people
who use its services.
