John Hall, MBA, FAICD, Chairman
John's background is in financial markets and corporate governance. He is a Director of Bank of China (Australia) Limited, a Director of PayPal Australia Pty Ltd, Sparke Helmore, and a Director of Hockey Australia Ltd. John's executive positions have included Chief Executive Officer, Australian Institute of Company Directors, Managing Director, Austraclear Limited and Chief Executive of the International Banks and Securities Association.

Ken retired in 2007 as NSW Protective Commissioner and Public Guardian, a role he filled for eight years. Prior to that he held positions in the State Crown Solicitor’s Office and Attorney General’s. He represented Earlwood as the State Member of Parliament for ten years, during which time he held a number of Ministerial portfolios. Ken has extensive knowledge and understanding of community and disability issues, and a personal commitment to appropriate service provision to people in need.

Stan joined PRA’s Board in 1995 after he retired as a partner of then Price Waterhouse. By that time, he was most familiar with PRA having conducted numerous annual audits of the organisation. Stan holds a number of private company directorships. His accounting knowledge and business acumen are a great asset to PRA.
Desley Casey
Desley Casey
As Development Manager of Community Connections, a project of Consumer Activity Network (Mental Health), Desley is a prominent mental health consumer activist. She has organised numerous forums, personal development opportunities for consumers and mental health promotional events, and is a strong champion of programs that promote recovery.
Paul Clenaghan
Paul Clenaghan
Joined the Board in 2009. Paul is Operational Manager for Mental Health Services in the area of Sydney stretching from Redfern to Bankstown. As a qualified psychiatric nurse, he holds a Masters in Nursing and a Post Graduate Diploma in Nursing Management. He is also Associate Editor and member of the International Advisory Board of the Drug and Alcohol Professional, an internationally refereed journal, and has published and presented on issues in mental health and drug and alcohol problems. He has a long record of service to people experiencing psychosocial disadvantage, their care and support.
Louise English
Louise English
Joined the PRA Board in 2009. As an adult educator with lived experience of bipolar disorder, Louise has a keen desire to improve mental health literacy in the community and reduce the stigma that surrounds mental illness. She is active in groups that promote peer support and recovery principles via consumer programs and activities in the inner Sydney area. She is also an accredited Mental Health First Aid Instructor.
Dr. Neil Phillips
Dr. Neil Phillips
Joined the PRA Board in 2009. Dr Phillips is a Consultant Psychiatrist for Aboriginal Medical Service Western Sydney and Senior Specialist Psychiatrist for Greater Western Area Health Service. He has worked in community psychiatry, Aboriginal mental health, and private practice, and is keen to contribute to an organisation providing recovery oriented rehabilitation services. He broadcasts on health and human relationships on ABC Radio, and has published books for consumers and carers about psychiatric disorders.
Professor John Snowdon, AM
Professor John Snowdon, AM
Professor Snowdon is an old age psychiatrist based at Concord Hospital, and Clinical Professor (Psychological Medicine) at The University of Sydney. He has a long standing commitment to psychosocial rehabilitation and deep interest in the work of the non government mental health sector.
